Day 1 Bologna – FICO World Eataly
At the airport of Bologna, meet your tour escort who will stay with you throughout the entire stay in Italy.
Reach the town, worth remembering for having founded the world’s first university dating back to the eleventh century, capital of the Emilia Romagna region where a guide will introduce the town to you in an orientation tour of the main monuments.
After the check-in, you will be transferred to FICO Eataly World, theme park dedicated to the agri-food sector and gastronomy. It is the largest in the world and it offers a unique experience that features across its 10 hectares of space, traditional Italian food and wine products. The space includes outdoors, two hectares dedicated to agricultural cultivation - vineyards, olive trees, citrus fruits, and grains - and stables with more than 200 animals of the main breeds bred in our country. Indoors, the 8 hectares host: 40 factories and 150 companies that supply products directly for sustainability locally, at 0 km; over 40 venues, shops and a market; areas dedicated to sport, children playgrounds, reading and services; 6 classrooms, 6 large educational rides
During this visit, the group will enter a cooking class on how to make pasta or pizza. Back to the hotel early in the evening.
Day 2 Bologna - Florence
Since Florence is only two hours away, this day will be spent visiting this city, the cradle of the Renaissance. A guide will show you the main monuments. The guided tour will then continue at the Galleria dell'Accademia. Remaining part of the day on your own. Back to Bologna late in the afternoon.
Day 3 Food Valley
After breakfast you will leave Bologna directed to the Food Valley where you will enter some interesting visits related to food: parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. After the visit, where you will be explained the production process, you will also make a tasting of the products.
In the afternoon you will visit a workshop for the production of ice cream and you will also try this activity Back to the hotel late in the afternoon.
Day 4 Bologna – Venice
As Florence, Venice is only two hours away and it would be a shame not to benefit from it. Once In Venice, you will reach St Mark’s Square by private boat. A guide will take you around the city visiting also the Doges’ Palace and St. Mark’s Cathedral. Some free time will be left to enjoy the city on your own before boarding a private boat directed to two of the Lagoon Islands: Burano and Murano. Here, you will also visit a glass factory. A guide will be with you also in the afternoon. Back to Bologna late in the afternoon.
Day 5 Bologna - Ferrara
After breakfast, you will be transferrdd to Ferrara (50-minute drive). The town dates back to the Renaissance times and hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance, it has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Here, apart visiting the town, you will see the Estense Castle. Back to Bologna in the afternoon and time on your own to get prepared for the following morning departure
