Day 1 Milan

Meet and greet at the airport of Milan by the tour escort who will stay with you throughout the entire stay. From the airport, you will reach Milan downtown for a guided tour of Milan, including a visit to The Last Supper, the fresco of Leonardo Da Vinci. Check-in and remaining part of the day on your own for individual visit.

 

Day 2 Milan

Today, you will visit Milan following the theme of Leonardo Da Vinci, the genius par excellence. Today you will visit the Science and Technology Museum where you can see many machines invented by Leonardo, the Sforza Castle, the Ambrosiana, the picture gallery where you can see other works by Leonardo.

 

Day 3 Mantua

Check-out and drive eastwards to visit Mantua, the town dates back to the Roman empire and during the Renaissance was ruled by the Gonzaga family who raised the level of culture and refinement in Mantua that became a significant center of Renaissance art and humanism.

You will enter the town sailing the river Po, first and then, with a water lift, you will enter the Mincio, the river that enters in Mantua. Once in town, you will continue the visit of the town including a visit to Palazzo Te

Day 4 Vicenza - Verona

Visit Vicenza in the morning, a thriving and cosmopolitan city, with a rich history and culture, and many museums, art galleries, piazzas, villas, churches and elegant Renaissance palazzi. With the Palladian Villas of the Veneto in the surrounding area, and his renowned Teatro Olimpico, the "city of Palladio" has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon back to Verona for a guided tour including the Arena, a Roman amphitheatre.

 

Day 5 Venice

Leave in the morning to Venice via motorway. Spend the entire day in Venice visiting the town, the Cathedral and the Doges’ Palace. Also a gondola tour will be included in the visit. Some time will be left on your own to discover by yourselves the secrets of this fantastic and unique city. Back to the hotel in Verona in the evening in time for dinner.

 

Day 6 Ferrara - Bologna

Check-out and transfer to Ferrara, another Renaissance town ruled by another important family, the Este. The Duchy of Este included also Modena and Reggio. Under the Este’s time, Ferrara grew into an international cultural centre, renowned for its architecture, music, literature and visual arts. You will visit also the Este’s Castle. Continue in the afternoon to Bologna, Check-in and guided tour of the town before having dinner

 

Day 7 Food Valley in Modena

In the morning, you will be transferred in the "food valley" near Modena where you will visit and taste a balcamic vinegar and a cheese factories including tastings. Once back to Bologna, you will end this "food day" visiting FICO, the food market. 

 

Day 8 Florence

After visiting to many Renaissance places, you cannot miss the most important one: Florence that you will reach by bullet train (37-minute journey from Bologna). In the morning you will visit the city with a guide, including the Academy Gallery, in the afternoon you will be on your own before returning back to Bologna to get prepared for the departure of tomorrow.

 

Day 9 Departure

Check-out and transfer to the airport of Bologna
